Created to celebrate Globe Specs’ new store in Kyoto, this limited-edition acetate-and-metal silhouette features innovative design and one-of-a-kind details. Pont Marie is a reinterpretation of AHLEM's classic Pont des Arts style, showcasing a unique combination of acetate-and-metal. An exceptional degree of craftsmanship and technical mastery goes into each frame: the enhanced raw effect is produced by additional steps of machining and hand-polishing, and the luminous metal arc on the lower rim is electrodipped in 22k gold and intricately hand-tooled. The PONT MARIE model will be launched in February of 2021 as a part of AHLEM’s Spring-Summer collection. Each frame is engraved with AHLEM x GLOBE SPECS on the interior temple. This design is a limited edition model with only one production, consisting of 200 pieces across 3 colours. ​​​​​​​The frame is supplied with a case and a cloth for cleaning the lenses. Kyoto’s intricate technical process transforms the visual identity of the frame front: the raw acetate requires an additional machining process as well as a hand-polishing step to achieve its enhanced raw effect. The lower rims are highlighted by a seamless metal arc, hand-tooled into place and electrodipped in 22k gold. The Kyoto model will be launched in February of 2021 as a part of AHLEM’s Spring-Summer collection. Each frame is engraved with AHLEM x GLOBE SPECS on the interior temple.
