Created to celebrate Globe Specs’ new store in Kyoto, this limited-edition acetate-and-metal silhouette features innovative design and one-of-a-kind details. Kyoto’s intricate technical process transforms the visual identity of the frame front: the raw acetate requires an additional machining process as well as a hand-polishing step to achieve its enhanced raw effect. The lower rims are highlighted by a seamless metal arc, hand-tooled into place and electrodipped in 22k gold.
The Kyoto model will be launched in February of 2021 as a part of AHLEM’s Spring-Summer collection. Each frame is engraved with AHLEM x GLOBE SPECS on the interior temple. This design is a limited edition model with only one production, consisting of 180 pieces across 3 colours.
The frame is supplied with a case and a cloth for cleaning the lenses.
